The Mixer

The Mixer from Creatives for Change is all about how collaboration and creativity can be used to create positive change. We’ve brought together a great line-up of visual artists, film producers and storytellers who all have tales to tell and experience to share. Themes likely to be discussed over the evening include collaboration, community and our ever changing relationship with the environment.

The full line-up and schedule will be announced by the end of September, but we are pleased to confirm that Paul Goodenough, Founder, Rewriting Extinction; Sayra Begum, illustrator, comic artist and writer; and Venessa Scott, public artist and ‘Great Manchunian’ are the first three creatives to join the programme.

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation with an opportunity for quick fire questions throughout and a more informal social at the end of the evening.

Of course, food and drink will be on offer. GRUB boasts the best food and drink traders in the city, so there will definitely be something for everyone. Food traders will be announced nearer the event – keep your eyes peeled.

Hello GRUB

A bit like us, GRUB runs its business as sustainably as possible. Over the years, it has taken lots of steps to improve sustainability including striving to be a vegan-friendly venue with vegan drinks on the bar and asking traders to offer meat-free dishes. They use recycled and second-hand furniture wherever possible and have created a bee and insect-friendly garden. Their suppliers are local, plastic or polystyrene packaging is banned and they never use patio heaters in their outdoor spaces (bring a jumper if it looks chilly).
